This is the website of the 16th scientific meeting of the IFIP Working Group 7.5 on Reliability and Optimization of Structural Systems. WG 7.5 is one of the working groups under Technical Committee 7 on System Modeling and Optimization of the International Federation for Information Processing. The last WG 7.5 working conference was held at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in April 2010. The complete list of all previous conferences in this series can be found here.

The purpose of the Working Group 7.5 is to promote modern structural system reliability and optimization theories and methods, to stimulate research, development and application of structural system reliability and optimization, to further the dissemination and exchange of information on reliability and optimization of structural systems, and to encourage education in structural system reliability and optimization.

Specific topics of this working conference include, but are not limited to:

• Reliability analysis of structural and infrastructure systems and reliability-based optimal design,
• Optimization of structural systems,
• Probabilistic strength and load modeling,
• Life-cycle reliability and optimization,
• Modeling of damage accumulation, health monitoring and inspection,
• Reliability of special structures: bridges, wind turbines, offshore structures, nuclear power plants, space structures, etc.,
• Infrastructure risk assessment and management,
• Engineering risk analysis and decision under uncertainty,
• Probabilistic/statistical methods in system reliability and optimization.

Attendance at IFIP 7.5 Working Conferences is by invitation. Individuals who are not members of the Working Group IFIP WG7.5 may be invited upon recommendation of one of the group members, approved by the Scientific Committee. Please contact one of the Working Group members or the Chair of the conference if you wish to be considered for an invitation.
